Tonnage hunt for Straits Auto Logistics

Selangor: The boss of Straits Auto Logistics, the roro player within Malaysia’s Giga Maritime Group, has told our sister site he is on the look out for further ships. The company took delivery of its latest roro, Grand Vision, last month. The 5,040 unit ship takes the fleet to three.

Datuk Adrian Henry D'Silva, the managing director of Straits Auto Logistics and Giga Car Terminals, both subsidiaries of GMG, told Maritime CEO the company has plans to increase the fleet but it will be “in tandem” with the growth of the car distribution market within ASEAN.

D’Silva also provided readers with a detailed look at the state of car shipment infrastructure in Malaysia. The full article can be accessed here. [31/10/14]
