Kuala Lumpur: Tanjung Offshore, which exited the marine business in 2012, is eyeing a return to the sector.
Currently Tangjung Offshore mainly offers engineering packages, product services and maintenance.
Muhammad Sabri Ab Ghani, executive director of the company said Tanjung Offshore is now back on the right track after two years of restructuring, and looking at business expansion to strengthen its presence in the oil and gas industry.
Muhammad Sabri said Tanjung Offshore is likely to return to the marine business if the reverse takeover of the company by several parties, including a unit of French company Bourbon SA, materializes. The deal is currently at the due diligence stage.
Tanjung Offshore exited the marine business in 2012 after selling its marine business arm, Tanjung Kapal Services, to Ekuinas for RM220m. [08/08/14]
