Singapore: Three incidents of robbery were reported onboard two bulk carriers and a barge yesterday and today, all in the same area, according to a release from the ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre.

The incidents took place off the Nipa anchorage between Singapore and Indonesia.

Including these three latest incidents, a total of 14 incidents involving ships while underway had been reported in the vicinity this year, though mostly less significant and of petty theft in nature.

All vessels should enhance vigilance while transiting the area, and report all incidents to the nearest coastal state.
